ABOUT RACINGAPI.COM

For the builders
behind the racing experience.

RacingAPI.com is an independent learning resource for people turning racing data into useful, understandable interfaces.

A starting point across the racing world.

A lap comparison, a horse racecard, and a marathon results page have something in common: each needs a clear model of what the data actually means. They also have important differences. RacingAPI.com brings those common questions and sport-specific details into one accessible place.

The site covers car racing, F1, NASCAR, horse racing, dog racing, boat racing, virtual car racing, marathon racing, and running. Its focus is practical: stable identities, explicit timing units, source context, honest missing states, and results that remain understandable after a correction.

Read it. Inspect it. Build on it.

Our Field Notes provide long-form implementation guidance. Discipline pages offer field checklists and references to investigate. The documentation and sample explorer connect those ideas to actual downloadable JSON files, so an example can be checked instead of merely described.

Every event and result in those fixtures is invented. The samples are intentionally small and share a common envelope, with room for selected sport-specific fields. They do not mirror a provider’s exact contract or represent a live service.

Independence matters.

RacingAPI.com is not affiliated with a racing series, governing body, game publisher, or data provider. References to named organizations describe the context of an article or point to documentation; they do not indicate a partnership, license, or endorsement.

We do not issue API credentials, take payments, offer betting services, or operate a participant registration system. A production application needs its own selected data source, access arrangement, and supported technical implementation.

Clarity over shortcuts.

We prefer an explicit unknown to a misleading zero, a labeled sample to an unsupported live claim, and a source reference to an invented capability. Read our editorial standards for the approach to examples, evidence, and corrections.

Questions about the content are welcome through the contact page. Do not send API keys, private participant records, or other sensitive credentials.
